We believe that Grace Manor’s mission is an extension of the caring ministry of Jesus Christ and that all of its programs and services should reflect His love for all people, regardless of their race, religion, gender, sexual orientation , or social status.
We believe in the uniqueness and value of every individual and that all persons should be treated with respect and dignity, regardless of their physical or mental abilities, social status or position within Grace Manor’s organizational structure.
We believe in the concept of teamwork and believe that residents and their families as well as the members of our staff have a valuable role to play in daily life at Grace Manor and a valuable contribution to make to its smooth operation and management.
We believe that it is the combined role of Management and Staff to provide a cheerful, family oriented, safe environment for our Residents, responding to their needs in a sensitive and caring manner and respecting their right for dignity and privacy.
We believe in involving the resident in his/her own care, promoting the highest possible level of independence and offering choices consistent with their needs, preferences, abilities and available resources.
We believe in establishing, maintaining and promoting harmonious relationships among staff, residents and their families.
We believe in being sensitive to the needs and preferences of the communities we serve, which include the internal community of Grace Manor residents, their families and our staff, as well as the external community in which Grace Manor is geographically located.
We believe in establishing and promoting a harmonious and co-operative working relationship with other social, religious and healthcare agencies and with all levels of government.
We believe in working within the framework of our parent organization, The Salvation Army, which has a broader ministry, motivated by the same spirit of Christian love and compassion.
